I have had one of these radio's before and i found that the radio is great if you are just using it to play with your basher but when it came down to the racer side of things it was missing a few nice options that make your race car a bit nicer to drive ie exponential and the sub trim but if you are looking for a decent 2.4 radio than here you go as for the instruction book that is on line you just have to download it from the site but all in all a good radio for all around use.

I was looking at this radio a while ago at hobby partz reviews seemed pretty good but was a bit weary of having some problems.  For the price of a Rx you have a whole systems and for 7.50$ a receiver you can run all your cars on this radio.

Might get one and replace the stock Traxxas radio for my sons Slash and get a Rx for his Stampede.

Thanks for the Review Joel.

Clint was saying that after some use, his wheel was starting to squeek. But there is an easy DIY bearing mod that can be done that i might look into if it becomes and issue. That could raise the cost of this radio by $1. :)

That's so funny! I just got one of these also after seeing so many happy reviews. I'll chime in when I'm into it.

It looks ok however I need servo speed options on my radios now.

The wheel really turns me off too due to feel and look.   For the price though tough to knock it.

the other thing i did to make my radio feel a little better was i took the foam off a old traxxas radio and out it in the wheel of the sky fly to make it feel like you were holding a real radio and not a toy from walmart

I'm personally waiting for the 4 channel one to come out, it's behind schedule as it is.  Yes it's baby blue  ::), but 4 channel pistol grip radio is nice  ;D

then again, 6 channels for 40 is just  :o
