Nepean BMX
« on: April 10, 2017, 09:05:16 PM »
I think some people have had success bashing here.  I went and scoped it out today and it looked pretty cool. I didn't run anything as out of respect it seemed too early and I could damage the surface.  I just wanted to have a look at it for a visit in the next month or so when things dry up.

I have a few questions:

1. Will we be able to use this again this year?

2. How can we help, the write up I have seen posted about the rules mentions helping out but what have you guys/gals been doing to help out? Should we just go around and smooth up anything we tear up?

3. What seems to be prime time to bring out RC? They mention that we can't bash when riders are on track..how often is that? I would typically go on a Sunday morning or weekday mornings from time to time.

4. Has anything ever been organized there for RC? based on that article, it seems like there could be some interest from them.  I may try out some organized racing this year at one of the larger RC specific tracks, but organized air time feels more appealing to me if there is an appetite for it.

They got back to me and my report above from 2015 is still in effect.

They ask that everyone stays off the track when it's wet or muddy as it ruts up the track.
