I have asked that exact question... only 5 minute mains so I have been told 4500mah is doable but 5000+ is recommended.  Turns into a 10 minute main if you get a bump up  8)

I went for a SMC 5200mah 90C.

I've got mixed opinions on maxamps packs. Great Hobbies should have everything ya need, I'm sure the guys there can educate you on the various electronic options for 1/8 buggies as there is quite a few.
I tried 2 3 cell maxx amps pack in my emaxx and they blew my GH packs out of the water but they are over 300 for 2 packs :(
