Hey Guys,

What would a good car kit to get started racing be? Sorry if this is posted somewhere but I didnt see it.

Tamiya M-05 S-Spec
Tamiya F104X1

If you're considering racing outdoors, off road, at GFX, I'd recommend a 1/10th 4wd kit.  Normally I'd say buy a 2wd, but with the traction of a 4wd it is a little easier to drive.  That said, there are a number of really great kits out there, it'll depend on what you want to spend.

I'd consider any one of the following:
TLR 22-4 2.0
Schumacher K1

There are other brands, X-ray, Yokomo, Kyosho, even some other brands but those three are the main ones out there that have the most local driver and parts support.

Ultimately the best idea is to come out and see a race on a Wednesday evening or a Friday practice night and see what guys are running.  We are racing tonight.  Come check us out.

IF gfx is your destination go 4wd.

May let my 22-4 2.0 go....
