AA Lipo Cells
« on: September 05, 2017, 07:35:16 AM »
Here is something new that caught my eye this morning. AA size 1250 mah lipo cells at 1.5V each that charge via a USB cable. Comes in a 2 or 4 pack, charge cable sold separately.

just be mindful they're basically half the capacity of a traditional nimh rechargable AA battery.

The good thing with these AA lipo cells is that you do not need to alter your transmitter at all. They just drop in. A LiFe pack is great, but you can't always find one to fit your transmitter and when you do you might have to fidget with a connector or solder on on. These cells are easy peasy.

I wouldn't trust them lipo cells at 4c charge rate :P most of the big brands have 15min nimh chargers though that work well

Vaporisers / e-cigarettes, mostly the big ones are lipo powered by similar round lipo packs, BUT they are not the standard AA size, so the idea of a round lipo has been around. The e-cigarettes round lipo are used in battery pack for Fpv in Fatshark goggles. Again, different from the product shown above.
