A bit of a break in my build while I construct some sort of spray booth that I can use in my garage or Pierre Tessiers heated workshop. It's just too cold outside to spray the finish on. I Need to come up with something that will break down and transport.

I might have to start another boat project in the meantime. Sucks being limited by winter weather. Remind me again why we live in this insane climate?

Thanks Pierre. I'm doing a bit of research and planning to stop by Home Depot some time this week to see what sort of materials would make a good portable/knock-down spray booth.

small plastic tubing, covered in vapor barrier? just pop the joints art and it would fold flat. Maybe velcro straps to hold it together?

I managed to get some finishing done during the last few weeks while we had the great weather. The smell and fumes from the clear coat I am using is just too much for anywhere other than outside and when the temp hit 20+ it was time to apply some finishing coats. I managed to get the four clear coats done with some wet sanding between coats. I have to admit the finish is looking better on each boat, but still not where I want it to be yet. Oh well, so many boat kits left to build, sooner or later I might be happy. lol
Here are some photos I took over the last week or so.

I added some details to the cockpit in the form of a windshield, seat, dashboard with gauges and a steering wheel.
Made up 12 exhaust pipes from aluminum tubing for the engine cowl . Tonight I got everything epoxied in place.

I also started the install of the rudder and strut tonight.

Thanks guys. Like I said before, the build is the fun part for me.
Gives me something to do between our on-road races

Got a few finishing touches done over the last few weeks.
Finished the steering arm for the rudder, got a servo and made the linkage.

Dave Jones did up some awesome vinyl graphics for me.

So its pretty much good to go as soon as I get an ESC.
