Axe ez...
« on: March 10, 2010, 07:48:54 PM »
Ok, so I have a heli max axe ez. It is now broken for almost 2 years. I would need someone to help me fix it. The problems is that the heli does not want to go up. Even at full throttle it stays glued to the ground. This problem has hapened to me before but I did not fix it. It was the lhs. Now this lhs is closed and I cannot fix. :'(
Any help is appreciated.

You need to adjust the pitch on the blades by turning your links one way or the other. It's been a while since I had mine but I THINK the blades should be angles upward slightly to generate more lift. If not that then turn them downward a bit. Just make small adjustments till you see it gaining lift.

Were do I adjust this? Is it the little screws on the control board?
This problem has occured when I hit an object. Would it be a gear or somethin?

Just realized what model you have. Is it possible you have the blades on wrong? Even 1 on the wrong way will affect your lift. Slowly give it enough throttle to make the blades rotate. The blades should be slanted backward when slicing the air. Tilted lower on the backend as it spins. I don't think there's a pitch you can adjust and seeing as how simple those helis are, then I'm pretty sure it's your blades. It's very possible to install them wrong as I have done this before on the blade cx. And it's the same heli you have. just a diff brand. Opposing rotor helis are super simple.
If you still don't get it  I can help you out if you're at the practice next Wed.

You might have used the top set of rotors on the bottom or bottom on top. It's easy to do and they can't be switched cuz they rotate in diff directions. So by using tops on the bottoms they would be rotating the wrong way.

If it's a lipo then it will probly still work.  Not sure if I'll be making the 20th race but I'm gonna try be there. Won't know till friday if I can make it.

Try make sure your rotors are on the right way though. The straight edge has to face forward. Forward being facing the way that the rotor spins. I'm pretty sure you've reversed rotors by accident. There's no other reason you should have no lift as long as you're getting enough speed.

If I can make it to the race I'll definitely help ya out if ya still need it though.
